Wollongong Galleries and Museums
Across Wollongong and the wider Illawarra, galleries, museums and collections open windows onto the region’s creative life, working landscapes and everyday stories. On Dharawal Country, visitors can move from First Nations and Australian art to family photographs, industrial railways, aviation restoration and hands-on science. The result is a varied cultural trail: some places offer carefully interpreted historic rooms, while others invite you to look closely at contemporary practice, explore original records or discover how machines shaped the region.
